SIMATS has a strong organisational structure headed by a Principal and Deans of the Institution. Each associate dean has been assigned a portfolio to explore, improve, standardise their areas. We at SIMATS work together as a family in order to provide the best Teaching - Learning environment, motivating students towards research, to explore the opportunities outside our country, and also to make them a confident, independent professionals.

Dr. N.M. VEERAIYAN
Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan was born on 15-11-1947 at Nalligowandanoor, Erode District and had schooling at Kavandapadi.
He is an alumni of Madras Medical College, one of the premier Institutions of this country.He graduated in Dentistry in 1970. A renowned dental surgeon,Dr.Veeraiyan established a 100 bedded multi-specialty hospital in 1977 and also a School of Nursing for Diploma course , the first of its kind in Erode.
Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan, had the ambition to start a model dental college and started Saveetha Dental College & Hospital in Chennai in 1988 and subsequently College of Nursing in 1992, College of Physiotherapy in 1993 and College of Occupational Therapy in 1998 .The service to the cause of education was extended to other fields by establishment of Saveetha Engineering College in 2001.
He had a vision to impart education on par with international standards by updating the curriculum and reforming examination system and to expose & engage students & faculty in research activities . This led to the creation of a Deemed to be University namely Saveetha University in 2005.Later three more institutions were added to the Saveetha family-Saveetha Medical College, Saveetha School of Management and Saveetha School of Law.

Prof.Dr.J.Thirubhuvan is one of the well-known senior academician in the field of Hospitality, Travel & Tourism education, research, commissions, consultancy, councils and task forces. He is a first batch alumnus of BHM from M.S Ramaiah College of Hotel Management, Bangalore-a pioneer in hospitality education, and holds MTM and MBA respectively. He was a best outgoing management trainee from ITC-Welcome Group Chola Sheraton and Savera Hotels. He holds his Ph.D in Tourism Management from University of Madras- a first such scholar in Indian context from his filed of hospitality and tourism expertise.
He has twenty five years of experience in teaching, research, curriculum preparation, councils, star-ratings commissions and a member in many agencies and bodies. Having worked and served in different capacities for more than a decade for Ministry of Education in Ethiopia, Libya to prestigious Universities such as Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Omar-Muktar University, Libya for their UNDP education projects and also worked for education programs of JICA, Swedish, German, Indo-Ethio V-sat programs and served in different capacities and also authored ten books. He is a Fellow Program in Education (FPE) from Addis Ababa University. He was an instrumental faculty for Sikkim-Manipal University’s V-sat programs and delivered more than 500 session lectures and also authored seven books in this University. He published many journals and headed various plenary sessions in many conference proceedings. Also supervised and adjudicated more than 1000 U.G and P.G thesis, 11 M.Phil and 9 Ph.d scholars. He was an advisor for Palm-Top and e-learning projects in Samcomm Technologies for College Management Software (CMS), Palm-Top Software (PTS) and Palm-Top Learning (PTL) products.
He is an active member of Board of studies of hospitality education for many Universities in India and Abroad, a founding member and advisor for ‘ALL IS WELL’ Health care solutions, JET-NGO for Rural Women and Child welfare projects. He also conducted many community based skilled hospitality programs, Consultant for Orange County Events and to his calibre recipient of ‘Best Teacher Award’ many times.
